Aston Villa are not looking at the prospect of re-signing Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph, according to the Birmingham Mail.
Delph, 27, left Villa to join City in controversial circumstances in 2015 after pleading his future to the midlands outfit.
The manner of his exit all but ruined his previously strong relationship with the Villa faithful and his move to City has not worked out due to a combination of injuries and failing to make any impression under Manuel Pellegrini and now Pep Guardiola.
However, it emerged at the start of the weekend that Steve Bruce was considering upsetting a lot of the Villa fans by re-signing Delph this month, but the club have reportedly denied the credibility of those stories.
Delph has only featured in 15% of City’s Premier League matches in the last two seasons (784 minutes of league action).
