Manchester United win race for Jadon Sancho

Manchester United believe they have all but secured Jadon Sancho's signature for next season after months of secret talks, claims The Sun.

Sancho has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford for the last 12 months after developing into one of the hottest prospects in European football.

The England international will return to the Premier League this season after three years at Borussia Dortmund, with United and Chelsea battling for his services.

However, United are confident they have already won the race after stepping up their pursuit of the 20-year-old months ago.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are reportedly in such advanced talks with Sancho's camp that salary, contract length and a monster buy-out clause has even been agreed.

All that is left to do for United is to agree a fee with Dortmund but that is not expected to cause complications.

Dortmund want United to make Sancho a club-record signing, eclipsing the £89m the Red Devils paid to re-sign Paul Pogba from Juventus in 2016.

Sancho was impressively the first player in Europe's top five leagues to register double figures for both goals and assists this season.

The Dortmund No.7 has remarkably played a direct hand in 29 goals in just 23 appearances this season (14 goals, 15 assists).
