Sancho must confirm Dortmund stay to end Man Utd interest
Manchester United will not give up hope of signing Jadon Sancho unless he publicly confirms he wants to stay at Borussia Dortmund, claims The Sun.
Sancho remains United's No.1 transfer target this summer despite spending months failing to agree a deal with Dortmund.
The Bundesliga outfit have flat out refused any kind of COVID-19 discount on Sancho and want in excess of £100m for the England international.
United are willing to pay big money to sign the 20-year-old but are not prepared to match Dortmund's demands in such an uneasy financial climate.
Talks have reached impasse as a result but United will only shelve their interest if Sancho declares his loyalty to Dortmund.
Until that moment, United believe there is still a strong chance they can prise Sancho back to the Premier League after three years in Germany.
Sancho has developed into one of the best players in the world and United currently have a clear run at his signature, which may not be the case next summer.
The former Manchester City youngster played a direct hand in 33 goals in 32 league appearances for Dortmund last season.
Moreover, Sancho was the first player to register double figures for both goals and assists in Europe's top five leagues.
