AC Milan will attempt to sign Moussa Sissoko in the summer if Newcastle are relegated this season, reports Calciomercato, via Football Italia.
Sissoko still has three years remaining on his current deal but he would be one of the players Newcastle would be forced to sell if they fail to beat the drop this season.
The France international, who has regularly been linked with a move to a bigger club, has been reinvigorated in recent weeks after being handed the captain’s armband by Rafa Benitez.
Since August 2011 only five players have completed more dribbles in the Premier League than Sissoko (261).
