Marseille have opened talks with Celtic about signing star striker Moussa Dembele, reports Sky Sports.
The Ligue 1 giants are on the market for a new striker after opting against making Bafetimbi Gomis’ stay at the club permanent at the end of last season.
Marseille appear to have ended their pursuit of Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud and are now interested in signing Dembele, who was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in January.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has already ruled out selling any of the club's star players until after they have played their final Champions League qualifying game next month, but the Scottish side have reportedly quoted Marseille £20m for Dembele.
The 21-year-old only joined Celtic last summer but enjoyed a breathtaking campaign for the Scottish giants and even excelled in the Champions League group stages.
Only Liam Boyce (23) and Scott Sinclair (21) scored more goals in the Scottish Premier League last season than Dembele (17).
