Liverpool want to sign Lyon star Nabil Fekir this summer and will step up their pursuit after Saturday’s Champions League final, reports The Guardian.
Jurgen Klopp wants to sign a replacement for Philippe Coutinho this summer after opting against it in January.
Liverpool have gone from strength to strength since Coutinho’s departure at the start of the year and will hope to end the season with Champions League success.
However, Klopp does want to bolster his offensive options this summer and has identified Fekir as his top summer transfer target.
The France international is widely expected to leave Lyon this summer after seven years at the club and will likely cost Liverpool in excess of £60m.
Fekir has just enjoyed the finest season of his career after finishing the campaign with 18 goals and eight assists in 30 league appearances.
Not only that, but only Marseille winger Florian Thauvin (13) won the WhoScored Man of the Match award more times than Fekir (12) in Ligue 1.
