Egypt flyer becomes latest signing as Aston Villa revamp continues
Aston Villa’s summer spending spree has continued following the arrival of Egypt international Trezeguet, the club has confirmed.
The winger is the latest in a long line of new arrivals at Villa Park, with the play-off winners now back in England following a trip to the US.
Trezeguet will link up with international teammate Ahmed Elmohamady under Dean Smith, with both players recently finding the net for the hosts at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The new Villa man had returned to Turkish club Kasimpasa but moves to England for an initial fee believed to be in the region of £8.5m with a number of potential add-ons which would take the overall price into eight figures.
We are delighted to confirm the signing of @Trezeguet from Kasimpasa for an undisclosed fee, subject to a work visa and international clearance.. ✍️
