Chelsea will reward Antonio Conte for Premier League title

Antonio Conte will be rewarded with a wage hike should he lead Chelsea to the Premier League title this season, reports The Daily Mail.

Chelsea are currently nine points clear at the top of the Premier League and have the chance to extend their lead when they play Burnley on Sunday.

Conte only became Chelsea manager at the start of the season and the Blues weren’t given a chance of winning the league after falling to successive league defeats to Arsenal and Liverpool back in September.

However, the Blues have only lost one Premier League game since and have charged up the table and into first place where they have remained for almost half the season.

Chelsea are widely expected to win the Premier League now and the club will improve Conte’s current £6.5m-a-year salary in order to fend off interest from Inter and clubs in China, who are willing to pay double his current wage.
