Bayern star not for sale at any price

Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has reiterated the club will not sell Thomas Muller for any price.

Muller, 25, had been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United over the summer and Bayern reportedly even rejected a bid as high as £120m for the German’s services.

However, United and other admirers will have to take their search elsewhere after Rummenigge described Muller as one of a kind.

Muller will stay at Bayern, regardless of what any club offers,” Rummenigge told Bild. “There is no amount that would make us consider an offer.

“Messi belongs to Barcelona, Rooney belongs to Manchester United and Muller belongs to Bayern. It should stay like that.

“There might be players out there who have a better technique and who are faster, but there is no second Thomas Muller in this world. He is extremely valuable to us. He represents the Mia San Mia feeling at Bayern.”

To make matters worse for United, Muller has started the season in explosive fashion. In fact, only teammate Robert Lewandowski (8) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (7) have scored more goals across Europe’s top five leagues than Muller thus far (6).
