European giants keeping tabs on PSG pass master

European duo Manchester United and Barcelona are keeping tabs on PSG defender Marquinhos ahead of a possible summer move, reports French publiction Le 10 Sport.

The 25-year-old has dipped in and out of the PSG starting XI this season having made 15 league starts for the Parisian powerhouse.

With the Ligue 1 season over due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it may also prove that Marquinhos has made his last appearance for PSG.

Both United and Barcelona are looking to bring in a new centre-back this summer and with PSG believed to be open to the idea of selling the Brazil international, the duo may make their move sooner rather than later.

Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo are out of favour at United and with Eric Bailly a regular feature on the physio table, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could elect to sanction a move for the Brazilian.

Barcelona, too, are seeking defensive reinforcements, with Samuel Umtiti heavily linked with a move away from Camp Nou.

One of Marquinhos' four statistically calculated WhoScored strengths is 'passing' having yielded the seventh best pass success rate (93.4%) in Europe's top five leagues this season.
