Manchester United will not entertain January offers for Eric Bailly amid interest from Sevilla, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Sevilla are keen to prise Bailly back to Spain less than three years after the Ivory Coast international left Villarreal to join United in a deal worth £30m.
Bailly made a tremendous start to life at United but gradually fell down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho.
Interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has preferred a partnership of Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof during his brief tenure and Bailly is now serving a three-match ban after being sent off against Bournemouth last weekend.
Arsenal and Tottenham have been heavily linked with a move for Bailly all season but United are not interested in losing the 24-year-old this month given the current injuries to Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo.
United want to sign a world class centre-back but accept they are unlikely to get any business done this month, meaning Bailly will have to stay at Old Trafford until the summer at the very earliest.
Sevilla were hoping to conclude a loan deal for the United No.3 but will now have to assess other targets.
Despite falling out of favour, United have a better win ratio in the Premier League since August 2016 when Bailly has started (61%) compared to when he has not featured from the off (51.8%).
