Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has set his sights on RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano, claims ESPN.
United are currently in the process of wrapping up a £40m deal for Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek and then intend to pursue Upamecano.
The Leipzig starlet only signed a new contract extension at the start of the summer but United are optimistic a deal can be struck.
Upamecano reportedly has a €45m (£40.1m) release clause in his new contract that will become active at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
However, Solskjaer wants to bring in the 21-year-old this summer even if it means paying slightly higher than his release clause to get a deal over the line.
