Leicester are closing in on a move for Sporting forward Islam Slimani, reports Sky Sports.
The Foxes had seen a £25m bid for the striker rejected earlier in the week, but are believed to have reached an agreement over a fee closer to £30m for the Algerian.
Slimani is now expected to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms with the Premier League champions on Wednesday before the 11pm deadline.
Slimani, 28, netted an impressive 27 league goals for Sporting last season and bagged the crucial equaliser in the 2-1 win over Porto this past weekend.
