West Ham’s injury woes worsen

West Ham will be without summer signing Gokhan Tore for five weeks because of a leg injury, reports The Sun.

Tore, 24, joined West Ham on an initial season-long loan move from Besiktas but has struggled to make any real impact this season.

Slaven Bilic’s side had reportedly wanted to send Tore back to his parent club in January following his poor start to the season but were told that is not an option.

The Turkey international will now miss up to five weeks as he begins his recovery from a quadriceps muscle problem that affects his thigh.

Tore is requiring fewer minutes per key pass (1 every 39.8 mins) than the likes of Yannick Bolasie (44.3 mins), Eden Hazard (49 mins) and Paul Pogba (49.1 mins) in the Premier League this season.
