Chelsea left-back Filipe Luis has resigned for Atletico Madrid, less than a year after his move to the Premier League champions.
Luis, 29, joined Chelsea for £15.8m last summer, but failed to force his way into Jose Mourinho’s first-team plans last season.
The Brazil international could only made nine starts in the Premier League and has signed a four-year deal to return to the Spanish capital for an undisclosed fee.
“We all know Filipe Luis. We will be stronger with one of the most talented wingers in the world. He already knows our club and our way of playing so he will adapt quickly,” Atletico’s sporting director Jose Luis Perez Caminero told the club website.
