Alves set to snub Premier League pair for Paris Saint-Germain
Former Juventus right-back Dani Alves looks set to snub a move to Manchester United and Chelsea in favour of a move to Paris Saint-Germain, reports French publication le10sport.
City were thought to be leading the race to sign Alves with a two-year deal believed to have been agreed last week, while Chelsea were also serious contenders to secure his services.
Alves is a free agent following his release from Serie A champions Juventus after just a solitary season in Italy and a reunion with Pep Guardiola had been on the cards.
However, the 34-year-old now looks set to turn down City and Chelsea in favour of a move to Ligue 1 giants PSG, who are keen to land the Brazilian.
Serge Aurier is being linked with a move away from the Parisian giants, with a switch to Juventus or Manchester United on the cards, and head coach Unai Emery does not want to be caught short at the back ahead of the new season.
Alves impressed for Juventus last season, with his 31 key passes second only to Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos (33) in the Champions League.
