Arsenal are still keen on signing Norwich star Emiliano Buendia, despite the imminent capture of Martin Odegaard, reports Football.London.
The Argentine is enjoying a superb season with the Canaries and is currently the best rated player in the division with a WhoScored rating of 7.60.
A Premier League return has been mooted for Buendia, though Norwich's demands suggest that a move this month is out of the question.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with another creative star, with Houssem Aouar and Julian Brandt also rumoured targets for the Gunners.
The emergence of Emile Smith Rowe and impending capture of Odegaard had suggested that the Gunners were finished in the January market.
However, Buendia remains a top target for head coach Mikel Arteta, heightening speculation that Arsenal could move for the Norwich star before next week's deadline.
The 24-year-old has seven goals and six assists to his name in the Championship this season and has made more key passes (69) than any other player in England's second tier.
