Empoli loan star Piotr Zielinski has revealed Liverpool have made an approach for his services in the summer.
Zielinski, 21, has flourished on loan at Empoli from Udinese this season and his performances have caught the attention of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
Wholesale changes are expected at Liverpool over the summer and Zielinski could be a possible signing after revealing discussions have already begun.
“There is a lot of truth in rumours about Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp is interested in me, we had some talks,” Zielinski told Polish outlet Sportowe Fakty, via The Daily Mail.
“I’m not thinking too much about it right now though, I’ve still got few games to play for Empoli and after that there is the Euros in France.”
Of those to have attempted at least 60 dribbles in Serie A this season, only three have done so with a greater success rate than Zielinski (69.1%).
