Arsenal are interested in Athletic Club winger Nico Williams and Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino, reports the Standard.
The Gunners are currently finalising the signing of Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori, and will then be expected to make moves for targets in other positions.
Spain internationals Merino and Williams both scored in the latter stages of Euro 2024, and have been identified as potential signings by Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.
Merino scored an extra-time winner in Spain's quarter-final victory over tournament hosts Germany, while Williams was on hand to fire home La Roja's opener against England in the final.
Reports in Spain, however, suggest that Barcelona are chasing the signatures of both players, too.
"Reportedly available for as little as £20m, it's no surprise that Arteta is eyeing up a move for Merino this summer." 🗣️

Arsenal may have to move quickly if they are to add the Spanish duo to their ranks, and they may raise funds through the sales of home-grown pair Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe, who are attracting interest from Marseille and Fulham, respectively.
