West Brom have offered want away striker Saido Berahino a new four-year deal in an attempt to thwart interest from Stoke and Crystal Palace, according to Sky Sports.
Berahino, 22, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Hawthorns since the start of last season and has previously fallen out with the club’s chairman Jeremy Peace.
Stoke are reportedly leading the race to sign the striker and are willing to pay £16m, although West Brom are holding out for at least £20m despite the fact he has entered the final 12 months of his current deal.
In an attempt to protect their star asset West Brom have now offered the forward a new four-year deal but it remains to be seen whether Berahino will agree to stay on improved terms.
Of West Brom players that started at least 10 league games last season Berahino finished with the lowest rating (6.33).
