Lucas Moura has revealed he hopes to remain a Paris Saint-Germain for the long haul as the Ligue 1 giants prepare to host Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash.
The 24-year-old is into his fifth season with PSG and is on course to enjoy his best season in the French capital to date after developing into a key player under Unai Emery.
Moura has two-and-a-half-years remaining on his existing deal with the Ligue 1 champions but is hopeful of remaining at the club long after his current contract is due to expire.
“I hope so,” Moura told AFP, via Get French Football when asked if he hoped to sign a new deal. “It is my aim, I feel very good here, I like the town, the club and the fans. It is a magnificent experience to live here. I like to go to the Champs-Elysees, Trocadero, to eat in a good restaurant… but also to stay at home. I hope to stay here for a long, long time.”
Julian Draxler’s arrival in January has added competition for places on the flanks either side of Edinson Cavani, but Moura remains on course to start the most league games he has managed in a single campaign for PSG, while he is only one goal short of equalling his best tally for goals in that time (9 goals last season).
In the last four Ligue 1 campaigns Moura has completed at least 69 more dribbles than any other player (319).
