Watford and West Ham are both being linked with a move for Ivory Coast international Seydou Doumbia.
The striker is currently on loan at Russian side CSKA Moscow from AS Roma, with CSKA understandably keen to turn his temporary move permanent in January.
The 27-year-old has five goals and five assists to his name in the Russian Premier League this season and three Champions League goals, most recently netting in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
However, reports in Italy suggest Roma would like Doumbia to spend time on loan in England, with Watford and West Ham believed to be in the driving seat to secure his services.
Only a handful of teams have netted fewer Premier League goals this season than Watford (11), while West Ham would be looking to strengthen their attack following a bright start to the campaign in their bid to secure a European spot.
