West Ham identify Arnautovic replacement

West Ham will make a move for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson if they sell Mark Arnautovic to China, claims Sky Sports.

Arnautovic is unsettled at the London Stadium after the Hammers received a shock £35m bid from an unnamed Chinese side earlier this month.

The 29-year-old is reportedly keen to secure a lucrative move to China but West Ham insist he has to honour his current deal, which doesn’t expire until 2022.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side are mindful that Arnautovic may try to force through a move and have earmarked Wilson as a potential replacement.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for Wilson in the last few months and their assistant manager, Gianfranco Zola, even confirmed the club are interested in the England international.

Bournemouth are desperate to keep hold of their star striker and will reportedly demand well in excess of £50m for his signature this month.

Wilson, who has overcome two serious knee injuries during his career, has discovered his best form this season and even earned international recognition with England as a result.

The 26-year-old has played a direct hand in 14 goals in 19 league starts this season, while only four other players have created more clear-cut goalscoring chances than the Bournemouth striker (9).
