Napoli are working on a £25m deal to sign Tottenham right-back Kieran Trippier, claims The Independent.
The Serie A outfit have already confirmed their interest in the Tottenham defender and Mauricio Pochettino’s side are open to his departure.
Trippier has endured a testing campaign for Tottenham after peaking for England at the 2018 World Cup.
Trippier has previously been linked with a move to Manchester United but Napoli are the frontrunners for his signature this summer.
The 28-year-old is understood to be keen on the prospect of playing abroad and Napoli are confident of agreeing a deal with Tottenham in the region of £25m.
With three years left to run on his current deal, Tottenham would certainly demand more money if they were dealing with a fellow Premier League side.
However, Napoli do not have the budget of a United and believe they can sign the right-back for £25m.
Trippier’s focus is on next weekend’s Champions League final against Liverpool before sorting his future.
Only Lucas Digne and Ryan Fraser (both 48) made more accurate cross from open play than Trippier (40) in the Premier League this season.
