The agent of Dayot Upamecano has hinted his client could end up staying at RB Leipzig for another season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Upamecano is about to enter the final 12 months of his current Leipzig deal and has been tipped to leave this summer.
Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Arsenal have all been heavily linked with a move for the Leipzig centre-back in recent weeks.
However, transfer valuations are expected to tumble this summer as a result of COVID-19, as clubs around the world count the cost of the global pandemic.
It has even led to reports suggesting Upamecano will sign a new deal with Leipzig and be allowed to leave the club next summer.
Upamecano's agent, Volker Struth, has now hinted his client may not be on the move this summer as few big transfers will now take place.
"I don't believe big transfers will take place this summer and I think Upamecano is a player for a big transfer. So the statement has already been made," he told Sport1.
After a frustrating 2018/19 campaign, Upamecano has emerged as one of Europe's best centre-backs this season.
In fact, only Virgil van Dijk (7.40) has a higher WhoScored rating than Upamecano (7.23) of all recognised centre-backs in Europe's top five leagues this term.
