Leicester concern Premier League rivals will target midfielder

Leicester City are worried that Manchester United and Arsenal will launch a summer move for January arrival Wilfred Ndidi, reports the Daily Mirror.

The Nigerian was signed to replace N’Golo Kante in the middle of the park and has impressed for the Foxes having earned a WhoScored rating of 7.40 in his short time at the King Power Stadium.

Now Leicester are now concerned that a number of Premier League rivals will look to lure Ndidi away at the end of the season, similar to Chelsea and their capture of Kante last summer.

The Foxes are understandably keen to retain the 20-year-old’s services, who was linked with a switch to Arsenal last year before his £17m switch to Leicester at the beginning of 2017.

Ndidi has played a key role in Leicester’s good run of form of late, with four successive Premier League wins lifting Craig Shakespeare’s side away from the relegation zone.

What’s more is that only Kante (48) has made more tackles than Ndidi (40) in England’s top tier in 2017.
