Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara has committed his long-term future to the Bundesliga champions after putting pen to paper on a new two-year extension keeping him at the club until 2019, the club has announced.
Thiago, 23, has spent the last two years at the Allianz Arena after signing from Barcelona for £21.6m in 2013.
Two serious injuries have limited the Spanish midfielder to just 23 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern since he made the switch but he seems to have put his injuries behind him after coming through a full pre-season unscathed.
In his first season at the club only Franck Ribery (8.28) finished the Bundesliga campaign with a higher WhoScored rating than Thiago (7.90) for Bayern.
