Manchester United plot January move for former Liverpool ace
Manchester United are weighing up a move to hand Emre Can a way out of his Juventus misery, according to Sky Sports.
Can left Liverpool to join Juventus on a free transfer in the summer of 2018 but has endured a frusrating spell with the Serie A champions.
His first season was disrupted with injuries and he has dropped completely out of favour under new manager Maurizio Sarri.
Can accused Juventus of breaking their word earlier in the campaign after he was left out of the club's squad for the Champions League group stage.
Juventus signed Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot on free transfers in the summer and both players have leapfrogged Can in the pecking order for places.
It appears unlikely Can will break into Sarri's plans at Juventus and United have earmarked the Germany international as a potential transfer target for January.
United failed to sign a single midfielder in the summer despite losing both Ander Herrera and Maraoune Fellaini in the space of six months.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already revealed United will look to strengthen in the new year if the right deals are available.
It's unclear whether Can would be willing to join United after spending four years playing for their arch rivals, Liverpool.
Juventus reportedly value Can in the region of £35m, with Bayern Munich also interested in the versatile midfielder.
Since the beginning of last season, Juventus have lost three of the 20 league matches Can has started compared to just one defeat in the 25 games he has not started.
