The agent of Gareth Bale has hit out at reports suggesting he is free to leave Real Madrid this summer.
Bale has been heavily linked with a move away from Madrid ever since he joined the Spanish champions in 2013 from Tottenham for a then-world record £80m deal.
Last season was a nightmare for the Wales international, who only managed 19 appearances in the league due to a series of reoccurring injuries throughout the campaign.
Bale has once again been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer with Madrid keen to pull off a world record move for Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe.
Madrid have already raised in the region of £100m from player sales this summer but it has been reported one member of the BBC trident will also make way to accommodate for the France international.
However, Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, has told Sky Sports reports of the 28-year-old being made available for transfer this summer are wide of the mark.
Bale only managed to play a direct hand in 12 goals in 27 appearances spread across league and European competition last season (nine goals, three assists) and will hope to return to full fitness ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Nevertheless, only Cristiano Ronaldo has scored as many headed goals as Bale in the last two La Liga campaigns (both 12).
