Juventus have announced they have signed Boca Juniors midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur for £8m on a five-year deal until 2022.
Max Allegri’s side have been tracking the 19-year-old midfielder all season but have finally got their man, who will officially become a Juventus player when the transfer window opens on July 1.
Interestingly, Boca have successfully included a 50% sell-on clause in the deal, which should see them benefit immensely from any future sale.
The teenager has been an ever-present in the Boca midfield this season, starting on 16 occasions and securing a respectable WhoScored rating of 7.09. In fact, no Boca player has won more tackles and interceptions combined in the league this season than Bentancur (83).
