Manchester United have announced they have signed Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund.
Mkhitaryan, 27, has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with an option to extend that by a further deal after completing a reported £35m move.
The Armenia international was the best player in the Bundesliga last season but with only one year remaining on his Dortmund deal Thomas Tuchel’s side were forced to sell their star asset.
“I am very proud to join Manchester United, this move is a dream come true for me,” Mkhitaryan told United’s official website. “I am excited to play for a club with such an illustrious history and hope to be part of it for the long-term.
“I thank the trust the club and Jose Mourinho have put in me. Finally, I believe playing for such a great club honours my father’s memory, and the inspiration and drive he gave me to when I was young.”
Mkhitaryan was the highest rated player in the Bundesliga last season (7.94) after scoring 11 goals and registering 15 assists for the Bundesliga outfit.
