Roma star Nainggolan subject to mammoth China bid

Radja Nainggolan could be on the verge of making a sensational move to China with Guangzhou Evergrande poised to table a €50m (£44m), reports Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Belgium international has been heavily linked with a move away from Roma in the last two years and now appears to be close to leaving the Serie A giants.

Guangzhou Evergrande emerged as suitors for Nainggolan at the end of last week and talks between the two clubs have reportedly progressed well, to an extent where a €50m bid could be submitted.

Fabio Cannavaro’s side were not only interested in signing Nainggolan but Kevin Strootman and Edin Dzeko were also mentioned in talks between the two sides.

Roma disciplined Nainggolan and fined the combative midfielder €100,000 (£88.9m) for his antics on New Year’s Eve and it could prove a figure too good to turn down for someone that turns 30 before the end of the season.

Nainggolan has scored and assisted 21 goals in 52 Serie A appearances since the start of last season, while only Strootman (14) has registered more accurate through balls than the Roma No.4 (13) in that period.
