Chelsea are one of a number of sides weighing up a move for Jhon Duran ahead of next week's transfer deadline, reports Sky Sports.
The Blues are looking to bring in a new striker this month with Nicholas Jackson currently on AFCON duty with Senegal and Armando Broja linked with a move away.
Neither has set the world alight for Chelsea this season, with the west London side monitoring a number of frontmen, including Callum Wilson, Viktor Gyokeres and Karim Benzema.
Duran has since emerged as a potential target for Chelsea, though Villa may be reluctant to do business for the 20-year-old.

The Colombian moved to Villa Park from MLS side Chicago Fire last January but has struggled for regular minutes under Unai Emery.
All 14 league appearances Duran has made this season have come from the bench, though despite his limited action, the young striker has still scored two Premier League goals.
Chelsea take on Villa in the FA Cup tonight, a game that Duran will miss due to injury.
