Hazard to undergo groin scan

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has confirmed Eden Hazard will undergo a scan on his groin after aggravating the injury at the weekend.

Hazard, 24, was forced off in the first-half of their 3-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday having only just recently recovered from a hip injury.

The Belgium international is now looking at another injury lay-off with Chelsea set to find out the extent of his injury on Monday.

“He slipped, spread his legs and he has a little problem with a muscle inside his groin,” Hiddink is quoted as saying by London Evening Standard.

“We’ll see tomorrow with the MRI scan how damaged it is.”
