Eden Hazard has been awarded the official Premier League Player of the Month award after playing a lead role in Chelsea’s resurgent form in October.
The Belgium international endured a difficult season last term but has now returned to his best and is arguably playing the best football of his career.
Hazard played a direct hand in four goals in four matches in October (three goals, one assist), with his lowest WhoScored rating of the month still a very high 7.81 (vs Hull).
In 11 league appearances this season the Chelsea No.10 has already scored three more goals (7) than he managed in 31 games last term (4).
Of players to have featured in more than two games in October, Hazard garnered the highest WhoScored rating in the Premier League (8.44). In fact, using the same parameters, only Roma’s Edin Dzeko (8.54) secured a higher rating in October in Europe’s big five leagues.
