Mourinho has talks with Paris Saint-Germain president

Jose Mourinho is in the frame to replace Thomas Tuchel as Paris Saint-Germain manager at the end of the season, claims The Sun.

Tuchel is under pressure to deliver in the Champions League this season or risk being sacked by the French giants.

PSG are 13 points clear at the top of league with two games in hand but suffered their first defeat in the French League Cup in five years after being eliminated by Ligue 1’s bottom side Guingamp earlier this month.

Mourinho has been out of work since being sacked as Manchester United manager before Christmas and insists he will return to football with one of the world’s elite sides.

The Portuguese has been heavily linked with the PSG hot seat in the past and even used links with the Parisiens to earn himself a new long-term deal at Old Trafford.

It has now emerged that Mourinho held talks with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi about the prospect of becoming their next manager while doing some punditry work for beIN Sport.

However, Mourinho is widely considered to be finished at the top level after his abysmal final campaign with United. The 55-year-old left United in sixth place in the league and 11 points off the top four after winning just seven of 17 league matches.
