Slayer of Barcelona not a target for Spanish giants, says chief

Barcelona technical director Robert Fernandez insists Juventus striker Paulo Dybala is not a target for the club while adding Neymar is indispensable for the future.

Dybala, 23, has been touted as the heir to Lionel Messi’s throne after scoring two goals in Juventus’ Champions League quarter-final triumph over Barcelona, having previously been heavily linked with a move to the Camp Nou.

The Argentina international signed a new long-term deal with Juventus days after they dumped Barcelona out of Europe but Fernandez, ironically, claims the forward is not a target for the club.

“He [Dybala] is a magnificent player, but we already have the best three [forwards] in the world,” he told RAC1, via The Daily Mail.

Dybala is only one goal away from scoring 10+ league goals in three consecutive campaigns. Not only that, but only Alex Sandro (7.66) and Gonzalo Higuain (7.54) have secured higher WhoScored ratings for Juventus in Serie A this season than Dybala (7.53).
