Manchester United unsure if Pogba will board plane for pre-season

Manchester United have no idea whether wantaway midfielder Paul Pogba will board their plane heading for their pre-season tour of Australia on Sunday, claims The Daily Mirror.

Pogba is determined to leave United this summer and his agent, Mino Raiola, reiterated his client’s desire to secure a move away on Friday.

The Red Devils are understood to be furious with the behaviour of Pogba and his representative in their public attempts to engineer a move away from Old Trafford.

Real Madrid and former club Juventus are both keen on the France international and are now poised to submit lowball offers to further unsettle the 26-year-old.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have made it clear they do not want to sell the 2018 World Cup winner and have even slapped a £150m asking price on his head to ward off suitors.

Pogba is the only available United squad member yet to report to pre-season training after being given an extended absence by head coach Solskjaer.

United fully expected Pogba to fly out to Australia with the rest of the squad on Sunday but are now unsure whether he will turn up following Raiola’s latest comments.

Pogba, who has been working on his fitness in New York this week, finished last season as United’s highest WhoScored rated player in the Premier League (7.31) and played a direct hand in 32.3% of the club’s goals in the competition.
