Juventus plotting audacious big money summer move for Liverpool superstar

Juventus are readying a big money summer move for Liverpool centre-back Virgil van Dijk, with the Old Lady prepared to part ways with £150m for the Dutchman, reports The Sun. 

Van Dijk has been instrumental for the Reds following his arrival from Southampton in 2018 with the 28-year-old widely considered the best in the world in his position. 

Of course, Van Dijk's performances haven't gone unnoticed and Juventus are willing to make the Netherlands international the most expensive defender in world football for the second time in his career. 

Juventus are looking to partner Van Dijk with compatriot and fellow Netherlands centre-back partner Matthijs de Ligt in Italy and believe the Liverpool sensation will be open to a move away from Merseyside at the end of the season should the world champions win the Premier League. 

A 4-0 win over Southampton on Saturday leaves Liverpool 22 points clear at the top of the table, albeit having played a game more than Manchester City, who travel to Tottenham today. 

That said, Liverpool will likely block any move for Van Dijk, whose WhoScored rating (7.41) is enough to feature in the Premier League and European team of the season so far.
