West Brom target former England manager

West Brom are interested in luring Sam Allardyce to the Hawthorns if he is sacked as Everton manager at the end of the season, claims The Times.

The Baggies sacked Alan Pardew last week and have placed former player Darren Moore in interim charge, likely for the rest of the season.

West Brom are bottom of the Premier League and fast running out of time to secure their top-flight status for next season.

They are currently on a winless run of 10 league matches and are 10 points adrift of safety with a possible 15 left to play for.

Allardyce, meanwhile, is expected to be sacked as Everton manager in the summer despite leading the Toffees clear of relegation.

Everton only made the former England manager Ronald Koeman’s successor back in November but the football has been dull and the supporters are unhappy.

If the Premier League table started when Allardyce took charge of Everton, the Merseyside outfit would be level on points with sixth place Leicester and three clear of Arsenal.
