Inter are readying a summer move for Manchester City striker and Premier League record holder Sergio Aguero, reports Italian publication Calciomercato.
A knee injury means Aguero is yet to make a Premier League appearance for Pep Guardiola's side this season, but the club are hoping he'll be able to feature for City in their Premier League meeting with Arsenal next week.
The Argentine's current deal at the club expires next summer and Inter are preparing a summer bid for the 32-year-old striker, who has scored 180 Premier League goals in his career, a record for an overseas player.
Inter have been heavily linked with a move for Aguero in recent months and reports suggested they would launch a bid to land the former Atletico Madrid frontman in the transfer window.
However, Inter managed to rebuff any and all efforts by sides to sign Lautaro Martinez, which meant they were not in the market to sign a striker over the summer.
Head coach Antonio Conte remains keen on Aguero, though, and will look to bring him to Italy when his deal with City comes to an end next June.
Guardiola will be hoping Aguero can return to fitness sooner rather than later with Gabriel Jesus currently sidelined for City, who have won just one of their opening three league matches in 2020/21.
