Real Madrid are weighing up a summer move to sign Manchester United forward Anthony Martial, reports RMC Sport.
Florentino Perez wants to freshen up Madrid’s attacking options in the summer and has earmarked Martial as a potential transfer target.
Martial has endured a tough time at United since Jose Mourinho was appointed manager in 2016 and has been heavily linked with a move away throughout.
The arrival of Alexis Sanchez in January has cast Martial’s long-term future into fresh doubt and now there are reports that contract extension talks have stalled as a result.
Martial’s existing deal is due to expire in 2019 and United will leave themselves in a vulnerable position if his future is not resolved before the end of the current campaign.
The 22-year-old has only started 15 Premier League matches for United this season, forced to make a further 10 appearances from the bench.
Despite struggling to hold down a regular starting berth, the France international has still played a direct hand in 13 goals (nine goals, four assists).
