Eric Bailly is concerned about his Manchester United future after dropping out of favour under Jose Mourinho, reports The Daily Mirror.
The Ivory Coast international has not featured in United’s last four matches in all competitions and was not even in the squad against Arsenal on Sunday.
Bailly has struggled to stay fit for prolonged periods since joining United from Villarreal in 2016 but has always been considered first choice when available.
However, the 24-year-old has mysteriously dropped down the pecking order in recent weeks and has been offered no explanation by Mourinho.
Bailly has looked the most assured defender during Mourinho’s time at the club but now the centre-back is concerned for his United career.
The Ivorian was the first signing Mourinho made as United manager but the Portuguese has already shown that counts for nothing.
Bailly was one of four players Mourinho signed during his first summer at the club and two have already left, while Paul Pogba has also been heavily linked with a summer exit.
United have a better win ratio in the Premier League when Bailly has started (61.8%) compared to when he has not featured from the off (53.8%).
