West Ham submit £30m bid for Burnley's Tarkowski

West Ham have returned with an improved offer of £30m for Burnley's James Tarkowski, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Tarkowski has emerged as a top transfer target for West Ham in the final month of the window as the Hammers desperately look to avoid a crisis.

West Ham players, led by captain Mark Noble, have already voiced their concerns over the direction of the club following Grady Diangana's sale to West Brom.

The Hammers have already had two bids for Tarkowski rejected with the most recent topping £27m and David Moyes' side have now submitted an improved offer.

Burnley have already conceded they will allow Tarkowski to leave for the right money but that price is believed to be £50m.

Tarkowski finished the 2019/20 campaign in the WhoScored Team of the Season across Europe's top five leagues and is considered one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League.
