Barcelona are considering a shock move for former Liverpool midfielder Dirk Kuyt, according to Spanish paper Sport.
Kuyt, 35, who won more than 100 caps for Netherlands before retiring last year, returned to Feyenoord over the summer on a one-year deal.
However, any signs of a winding down period for the Dutchman could be put on hold with Barcelona reportedly interested in securing his services.
The reigning European champions are currently under a transfer embargo and are expected to be very busy when it is lifted at the start of the January transfer window as they look to pad out their thin squad, which is currently blighted by injuries to key players including Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta.
Feyenoord's captain has been in impressive form for since returning at the start of the season having scored four goals from eight league matches this term.
