Hakan Calhanoglu’s agent has confirmed Atletico Madrid are interested in signing the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder this summer.
Atletico have reportedly being weighing up a move for the Turkey international for some time this summer.
Diego Simeone would seemingly appear to be still looking to add to his squad before the transfer window shuts on Wednesday and Calhanoglu’s agent has confirmed the midfield is on their radar.
“It is true, there is interest [from Atletico],” Bektas Demirtas told AS, via Football Espana. “But there is nothing concrete.”
In the last three Bundesliga campaigns Calhanoglu has scored at least six more free kicks than any other player (11), accentuating his statistically calculated strength of ‘direct free kicks’.
