The German football association are looking to offer Joachim Loew a new deal keeping him as manager beyond the 2018 World Cup.
Loew’s current deal is due to expire after the World Cup in Russia and it was thought he would step down in two years after Germany’s elimination from the semi-final at Euro 2016.
However, the president of the German FA, Reinhard Grindel, has confirmed they want Low to remain head coach beyond the next two years.
“I said before the Euros that I can imagine a long-term collaboration [with Loew],” Grindel told Kicker, via Sky Sports.
“I have a very good relationship with Loew and if he wants to talk about his future then I am ready to do so anytime.”
Since becoming Germany manager in 2006, Loew has won 66.9% of his matches as Germany manager.
