Liverpool are not interested in signing Adrien Rabiot contrary to reports Jurgen Klopp has approached the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Rabiot has entered the final 12 months of his exisiting PSG deal and reports emerged earlier this week claiming Liverpool were the frontrunners to sign him on a free next summer.
It was even claimed that Liverpool manager Klopp had spoke to members of Rabiot's entourage, including the player's mother.
However, that is now understood to be completely false and Liverpool have no interest in the France international, who was a target for Barcelona this summer.
Barcelona wanted to sign Rabiot but PSG blocked the move and still hope the 23-year-old will commit his long-term future to the club.
Rabiot has started PSG's first four league matches this season and scored one goal in that time, garnering an impressive WhoScored rating of 7.54.
Of Ligue 1 players to make at least three league appearances this season, only teammates Thiago Silva (85.3) and Marquinhos (79) average more passes per game than Rabiot (77.3).
