Chelsea summer signing suffers injury scare on international break
Edouard Mendy has withdrawn from the Senegal squad with a thigh injury and will return to Chelsea for further assessment, the Premier League outfit has confirmed.
Mendy suffered the injury in training on Wednesday before a medical carried out by the Senegal national team ruled him out of their match with Morocco this evening.
The 28-year-old will now return to Stamford Bridge where Chelsea will discover the full extent of his injury.
Frank Lampard will be sweating on the outcome of Mendy's medical with the prospect of having to put Kepa back in goal.

The Spain international has endured a torrid time at Chelsea since completing a shock £71.6m transfer two years ago.
Kepa has failed to show even flashes of potential over the last two years and has regularly been dropped by Lampard since the beginning of last season.
The 26-year-old started Chelsea's first two league matches of the season and committed an error leading to an opposition goal in each of them.
