How much it will cost Manchester United to sign Ighalo permanently revealed
Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai Shenhua will demand £15m for Manchester United to make Odion Ighalo's loan switch permanent, claims The Daily Mirror.
United signed Ighalo in a shock six-month deal at the end of January after missing out on teenage sensation Erling Haaland to Borussia Dortmund.
Ighalo has made a huge impact at United in a short space of the time and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has even opened the door for the striker securing a permanent deal.
Shanghai Shenhua only paid £5.27m to sign Ighalo from fellow Chinese outfit Changchun Yatai 12 months ago and will now command roughly three times that fee from United.
Ighalo, who grew up a boyhood United fan, is even willing to take a significant pay-cut to join United on a full-time basis.
However, it remains to be seen whether United will entertain a deal for Ighalo over that price when they are expected to part ways with big money for the likes of Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho.
Ighalo has scored four goals in three starts in all competitions for United this season and won the WhoScored Man of the Match award twice in that time.
